19TH OCTOBER, 2014 - TWENTY-NINTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - A

1.  PRE-MARRIAGE COURSE IN BAHASA  MALAYSIA
     Venue :  St. Joseph’s Multi Purpose Hall
     Date   :  25th October      
     Time :  8.a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
This course is for those who will be getting married or married couples, who need convalidation.  Please register with the Parish Office (421455) few days before the course starts.

2.  PRE-COVENANT COMMUNITY  GATHERING  IN  ENGLISH
      Venue  :   St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, Miri
      Date    :   Sunday, 26th October
      Time    :   4:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Plans to establish a Covenant Community in Miri will proceed one step further with this gathering at which Fr. Guido will teach on “how to pray at prayer meetings” and answer your many questions regarding Covenant Community.
All are welcome, but bring your Bible and “God’s Choice dinner” for fellowship.  Further details you will find in the flyers to be distributed after Mass.

3. ALL SAINTS AND ALL SOULS
The Liturgy of All Saints shall be used for the Sunset Mass on Friday (31/10/2014).
All Masses on Saturday (1st November 2014) are of all Saints including the Evening/Sunset Mass.  All Masses on Sunday (2nd November 2014) are of All Souls.
Those who attend Saturday Sunset Mass fulfill both obligations.
Please be informed that there will be No Holy Mass at the Cemeteries during All Souls.

 4. PRE-CONFIRMATION COURSE FOR TEENAGERS
The Pre-Confirmation course for teenagers born in the 2000 or earlier and who wish to be confirmed next year (2015) will begin with the Compulsory Introduction Day
       on 1st November 2014 (Saturday)
       at the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, Brighton Road
       from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
Please bring along a pen and notebook. After that the course will be held every Sunday at the St. Joseph's Cathedral from 2.00pm to 3.30pm.

5 . FLOWERS ON SALE FOR ALL SAINTS’ AND ALL SOULS’ DAY
Flowers will be on sale at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Compound for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day starting on the 30th October to 2nd November.

12TH OCTOBER, 2014 - TWENTY-EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - A

1.  TALK ON ST. TERESA OF JESUS
     Venue :  Carmelite’s Chapel      
     Date   :  13th – 14th October      Time :  7.30 p.m. – 8.30 p.m.
All are welcome.  The talk will be given in English by Rev. Fr. Gregory Hon.        
All the participants are welcome to the Solemn Mass on 15th October at 7.30 p.m. (not 5.30 p.m. as mentioned earlier).  Please be informed that there will be NO Morning Mass on that day.

2.  PRAYER  MEETING IN ENGLISH AT PIASAU KINDERGARTEN 
The next Prayer Meeting will be held on Friday, 17th October at 7.30 pm.  All are invited to praise and thank God for all His blessings, listen and share the Word of God as in God’s family.  Please also take this opportunity to bring along your intercessory prayers or petitions for us to pray together as a community in Christ.

3.  NATURAL  FAMILY  PLANNING  COURSE
This course is for those who will be getting married or married couples and will be held on Saturday, 18th October as follows:
     In Bahasa Malaysia at St. Joseph’s Multi Purpose Hall  from 8.00 a.m.-1.30 p.m.
     In Iban at St. Anthony’s Chapel, Pujut Corner  from 8.00 a.m.-1.30 p.m.
The Pre-Marrage Course in Bahasa Malaysia will be held on Saturday, 25th October at St. Joseph’s Multi-Purpose Hall.
Please register with the Parish Office (421455) few days before the course starts.

 4.  ST. JOSEPH’S SCHOOL 80TH  ANNIVERSARY DINNER
      Venue :  Imperial Hotel Miri, Grand Ballroom Level 5
       Date  :  31st October (Friday)
      Time   :  6.30 p.m. -10.30 p.m.
     Theme :  “Back To History”
All Ex-St. Josephians are welcome and please help for the School Development.
